SourceOne Connector

SourceOne Connector is an IDOL connector that automatically aggregates archived e-mail messages from an EMC SourceOne repository.

To retrieve data from the repository, the SourceOne Connector must first retrieve a list of folder names and message identifiers. The connector can retrieve this information through the SourceOne Search Web Service, or by directly accessing the SourceOne databases. The connector then uses the SourceOne Document Web Service to retrieve the e-mail messages stored in the repository.

After retrieving the messages from the repository, the connector sends the files to Connector Framework Server (CFS). CFS extracts text and metadata from the messages, and indexes this information into an IDOL server.

After the documents are indexed, IDOL server automatically processes them, performing a number of intelligent operations in real time, such as:

  • Agents
  • Alerting
  • Automatic Query Guidance
  • Categorization
  • Channels
  • Clustering
  • Collaboration
  • Dynamic Clustering
  • Dynamic Thesaurus
  • Eduction
  • Expertise
  • Hyperlinking
  • Mailing
  • Profiling
  • Retrieval
  • Spelling Correction
  • Summarization
  • Taxonomy Generation
